Goldleaf is not a print, a coating, or a digital effect. Each pattern is built one sheet at a time — a craftsman lays foil onto paper, presses, breaks, and seals. The finish you see on the wall is the metal itself.
The line
Seventy-four patterns make up the Renaissance Metal Leaf catalog. They range from continuous mirror-bright sheets to deliberately distressed, broken, and weathered finishes. Color comes from the underlying alloy — gold, silver, bronze, copper, pewter, champagne — not from pigment. Pattern comes from how the foil meets the paper.
Width is 36 inches. Roll length and put-up vary by pattern; spec sheets ship with each memo sample.
The maker
Phillipe Romano is a Los Angeles–based label producing hand-finished wallcoverings and fabrics. Renaissance Metal Leaf is its dedicated metal-leaf line, imported from Italy under long-standing relationships with foil-application studios that have practiced the craft for generations.
How to specify
Goldleaf is sold through the trade. Architects, designers, and contractors can request memo samples and trade pricing through this site or by calling us directly. Lead time runs three to five business days for samples; production lead time on full orders is quoted per pattern at time of order.
- Hospitality: hotel lobbies, restaurant accent walls, ballroom ceilings, executive lounges.
- Retail: luxury boutique interiors, jewelry case backdrops, dressing-room reveals.
- Residential: dining rooms, powder rooms, library ceilings, primary bedroom feature walls.
Direct from the source
We sell Goldleaf direct, not through a chain of resellers. The same line at most national distributors carries a markup we don't pass on. Order samples on this site, talk to a person on the phone, and get the imported price — Italian elegance without the middleman tax.
